Stop dumping in the River Lune and Morecambe Bay
The Lib Dems have been kicking up a stink about water companies dumping sewage into our rivers. United Utilities discharged sewage for 8,490 hours or 353 days into the River Lune, Sedbergh in 2020 - this was the worst in the UK. They have been able to continue in 2021, at Hornby they discharged 1,599 hours into the River Wenning which flowed into the Lune. The Conservatives have let United Utilities and other water companies rake in profits and continue to dump in our waterways. If you’re fed up of water companies getting a free pass on dumping sewage in our rivers.
